Signed to the legendary label Sub Pop in 2019 Shannon and her 5 full length studio albums have been celebrated by publications such as Pitchfork, The Guardian, SPIN and Uncut magazine. Her most recent release Past the Veil (2026) was touted as "A transformative experience." by Pitchfork

She has shared the stage with Bedouine, Ty Segall, Kevin Morby and Whitney and played at festivals around the world including Greenman Festival, Nelsonville Music Festival and Huichica Music Festival.

Shannon Lay’s music is shored by radical empathy. Her intimate songwriting and powerful fingerpicking guitar style coupled with a timeless voice lay the foundation for a powerful live experience.
