The Litch Brothers
Originating from Orcas Island and based in the Pacific Northwest, Brothers Tashi and Kaj Litch have been making music together since they were kids. Now touring as a four piece consisting of Tashi and Kaj, with Evan Snoey and Ben Lewis, on a combination of mandolin, guitar, fiddle, bass and vocals, the band delivers an engaging show of original music with traditional material, and folk inspired covers.
They have performed with the likes of Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull and Darol Anger, and at beloved venues and festivals including Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Salmonfest Alaska, Ogden Music Festival and The Station Inn.
The band is quickly on the rise and are the 2026 winners of the prestigious Telluride Band Contest as well as selected as an official showcase artist for the 2026 IBMA Bluegrass Ramble. They were also selected as the 2026 Official Showcase Band at Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival, which called them “one of the most promising young groups in bluegrass today.”
The Litch Brothers bring the energy of a young band with the musical depth of artists who have spent a lifetime with the tradition. With their first studio album, produced by AJ Lee, coming in the fall of 2026 - 2027 promises to be a big year for this exciting new band.

-The Bluegrass Standard
“Last night was a blast! The spirit of Jimi Hendrix, Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, Tashi and Kaj [Litch] and the incomparable Seattle Symphony… I thought the roof was going to blow off Benaroya Hall.”
-Brandi Carlisle
“…blew listeners away with fiddle music so lithe and supple it made you wonder if Kaj might be the next Mark O’Connor.”
