Every artist’s journey is a quiet revolution. For some, there comes a moment when Robert Zimmerman becomes Bob Dylan, when Reginald Dwight becomes Elton John, when Robert Jones becomes Bowie, when Ali Ibrahim becomes Ali Farka – it’s a moment, when such an artist leaves behind the comforts of history in search of boundless expression - a moment when they metaphorically move out of their home, stepping into the unknown, and surrendering to the wild embrace of their muse.
J.S. Ondara has started a new project called The Jet Stone Conspiracy - the culmination of his rebirth – a surrender to the currents of free expression and an invitation to explore new realms of sound, movement, and poetry. This will be his first tour with a full band and will mark the debut of a catalog of new material while weaving in songs from Tales of America, Tales of Isolation, and Spanish Villager No:3.
J.S Ondara has toured with The Milk Carton Kids, Lindsey Buckingham, Neil Young and The Lumineers. He was also nominated for 'Best Americana Album' at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards for his album Tales of America. In May of 2023, it was announced that Ondara was the Grand Prize winner of the 2022 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) for the song "An Alien In Minneapolis."
