Paper Wings are long-time friends and collaborators Emily Mann and Wila Frank. As accomplished multi-instrumentalists, songwriters and vocalists — these two developed their musical prowess by studying and performing with folk legends such as Alice Gerrard, Laurie Lewis, Tim O’Brien, Steve Earle, Aoife O’Donovan and Sarah Jarosz.
Based in Nashville, these two are deep in the American roots and indie music scenes and are often called across the US as teachers and performers at old time and songwriting camps such as the beloved Fiddle Tunes, and the Milk Carton Kids Sad Songs Summer Camp.
After releasing their sophomore album Clementine in 2019, they gained streaming success on their heartfelt track “Troubled Soul” and were thrust into the touring scene playing rooms such as The Freight and Salvage, The Kessler Theater and The Musical Instrument Museum.
Paper Wings music has been heard throughout the festival circuit at coveted gatherings such as Strawberry Music Festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, Miles of Music and the Los Angeles Folk Festival.
Their third full length, Listen to the World Spin was released in 2024 with support from Free Dirt Records and garnered praise from No Depression and Americana UK.
Look out for singles, new videos and their 4th full length album due out in Spring 2026!
Now booking concerts and festivals in the US and Canada
